Our cookery days are hosted by one of our experienced award winning chefs and are aimed at those who have a good basic knowledge of cooking but who would like to improve their knowledge and skills. For this reason our cookery days are not hands on, thus allowing our chefs more time to demonstrate techniques which can later be practiced and perfected at home. Comprehensive notes are supplied to help the memory! We take a maximum of 10 guests per booking so there is a lot of time for interaction with the chef and the opportunity to ask questions. A strong emphasis is placed on the provenance and seasonality of ingredients. During the course of the day you will be able to taste the dishes made and also try a recommended wine to go with each dish. It may be worth considering staying over for the night!
During the winter months, November to March, we also offer packages which include a 2-hour cookery demonstration, followed by a winery tour and wine tasting culminating in a meal of your choice. We have found that these make a great day out for work colleagues or a group of friends. Included in the price is one day’s tuition, tea & coffee, lunch served in the Vineyard Restaurant, or Vine Room terrace (weather permitting) with wine.
Cookery Days are available for groups of 8 to 10 people.
