Situated in an idyllic location and overlooking the vine clad valleys of Three Choirs Gloucestershire, why not come and enjoy a relaxing break in one of our sumptuous rooms?
So many of our regular diners said what a beautiful place this would be to stay that in 2000 we decided to build the Vineyard View bedrooms. We wanted every guest to be able to enjoy the views over the vines, after all where else in the UK could you imagine you were in Tuscany?
Demand for our rooms was huge and so 8 years later we opened our Lodges. Equally popular and designed for guests who really want to enjoy the unique setting, peace and quiet of the vineyards.
We now have 8 Vineyard View rooms (situated next to the brasserie close to the shop and winery) and 3 Lodge Rooms (located about 500m away, nestled amongst the vines).
We are not a hotel and don't think we should try to be one. The best way of describing what we offer is a 'restaurant with rooms', and we do hope that you will find this to be a truly unique and refreshing place to stay.
So what can you expect? Here's what a typical 24 hours at the Three Choirs Vineyards looks like:
Arrival: Make your way down the long driveway into the vineyard and enjoy your first views of our abundance of vines. These cover a great selection of varieties, from the well-known red variety of Pinot Noir, to the less heard of varietals of Bacchus, Siegerrebe and Seyval Blanc. Here at Three Choirs we grow over 12 different varieties. Rooms will be ready from 3pm
Time to make yourself at home: Check in is from 3pm, enjoy your very own views of the vineyard and feel free to wander the grounds. There is a purpose built vineyard trail, a haven for a diverse variety of wildlife. The trail that takes you through various habitats and tells you what to look out for, hedgehog nesting boxes, ladybird nesting boxes, ponds with fish and waterfowl, owls, rabbits and badgers. The pond and stream areas can be wet underfoot so please wear appropriate footwear! Guaranteed to help you build up an appetite before dinner.
Wine Tasting: Guests staying on our Bed & Breakfast and Dinner Bed & Breakfast rates get a complimentary Wine Tasting and Winery visit as part of your stay. Wine Tasting is available in the Cellar Door between 9am - 6pm Tuesday to Sunday, we suggest that you fit the tasting in either before of after the Winery Tour which is at 4pm Tuesday to Sunday. if you are staying on Room Only then you can purchase your tickets when you are here (£12.50 per person).
Dinner: What partners with great English wine? Great English cooking of course. Take a stroll over to our brasserie, and enjoy a variety of the best of British ingredients. All our wines are available at our brasserie, giving you a chance to enjoy the ones you sampled earlier. The Vineyard Brasserie is open every evening please have a look at our sample menus. If you would like to book a table during your stay please mention that in the notes section of the online booking form.
Breakfast: After a peaceful nights sleep, wake up to beautiful views of the vineyard and head back over to the brasserie for an English breakfast, included as part of your stay.
A key design feature is that each room is similar in size and decor, we didn't want our guests to feel they had the 'last let' room. Each room has its own south facing patio and views over the vines in the valley below. They are spacious, light, and very comfortable with king size beds or two single beds and seating area. Each comes equipped with flat screen TV, DVD player, telephone, hair-dryer, tea and freshly ground coffee making facilities. Bathrooms have both shower and bath, with gorgeous fluffy towels.
We have 1 twin room available, this is our largest room with a sofa & lounge area, this room does not have a bath but has a large wet room with walk in shower adapted for wheelchair access.
Our glass-walled, wooden-framed lodges are tucked away from view in the base of the valley about 500 meters from the main buildings and overlook tranquil, willow tree-fringed ponds. They also boast large verandas and claw-footed baths: both equally perfect for retiring to with a glass of something delicious.
The rolling landscape gives a true sense of privacy and connection with nature. With a veranda on two sides you can make the most of the scenery and sun. Warm in winter and cool in summer they are the ideal location to de-stress and unwind.
All room rates are for 2 guests.
To book a table in the Restaurant please book online or let us know in the comments section within the booking form. We will automatically reserve a table for guests booking the Dinner bed and breakfast package.
