WE ARE OPEN AGAIN!! However, things are going to be a little different and will become our ‘new normal’ at least for a while…!
We want to reassure our guests, team members and suppliers, that we have taken every measure possible to help keep everyone safe but also want to ensure we don’t lose the essence of what we love to do every day.
We’ve all become more familiar with regular hand washing etc… our teams both front and back of house are all adhering to this before, during and after their shifts and to complement this we’ll have hand sanitiser available around the site for both the team and the guests to use.
The well-being of our team is a top priority, we wouldn’t be here without them! Therefore we have implemented necessary health checks prior to looking after guests each day – from Kitchen porter to Reception to back of house teams. This includes temperature checks and regular “wellbeing” chats to make sure everyone is happy and healthy to come to work. No team member with symptoms will be expected to work.
We ask if you or any in your party have any COVID symptoms in the run-up to your stay, please contact us to rearrange your visit.
We’ve tried to think of everything to keep everyone safe and comfortable, so during your stay we encourage guests to use their bedroom loo rather than the public facilities… we hope you understand this decision.
The guest experience will be a little different. The number of visitors and team members on-site will be significantly less. We don’t want to appear stand-offish…but we will back away and maintain the social distancing rule. We will, of course, be on hand if you need anything!
Group gathering restrictions will be adhered to and guests will be asked to remain within their permitted family units during their stay. Our largest table size will be 6 guests to be from no more than 2 households.
We’re lucky that we have plenty of space, both inside and out, so hopefully it will be easy for everyone to find their own space in which to feel comfortable.
Guest Bedrooms/ Lodges
Check in/ out. Reception is in the Cellar Door, next to the car park. We ask for only 1 party member to come to reception to check in. On check out, again we ask only 1 person to come to reception to settle the account and drop off your key.
Room keys are sanitised between stays and kept in a sealed bag until you arrive.
Our housekeepers are working even harder to ensure your room is squeaky clean, using hospital-grade cleaning materials. They won’t be entering your room at all during your stay. Should you need anything replenishing during your stay, please ask!
We are open at lunchtime, 12-2pm, to non-residents on Saturday and Sunday only.
Dinner is from 6-8pm for residents. Non-residents are welcome to book ‘on the day’ for dinner, advance reservations will not be taken.
Booking is essential and we ask guests to adhere to arrival and departure times. Due to the significantly reduced number of tables, we may not be able to honour your booking if you arrive late.
Tables and chairs will be wiped down with antibacterial/antiviral spray between use.
We will show you directly to your allocated table. We politely ask that guests do not swap from table to table as this creates extra work for our staff having to re-sanitise tables & chairs.
Menus are available to view on our website for you to order from, we also have plastic coated menus that are sanitised after every use.
We’ll bring your meal to your table, but ask you to pour your own wine and water. Although keeping our distance, we will be on hand should you need anything.
We’re excited about introducing our new menus! Not as big as before and with a focus on casual dining, featuring sharing boards and classic dishes to complement our wine.
Our menus do not change daily.
To ensure breakfast is served efficiently, we are asking guests to order their breakfast as part of the check in process. Tables will be ready for you with everything you requested when you arrive at your allocated time in the morning.
Winery Tour & Tasting (Non Residents)
Available on Saturday & Sundays at either 11.30 or 2pm. Pre booking is essential. Priority will be given to those with existing vouchers and those wishing to stay for lunch. Drop-in wine tasting is not available.
Winery Tour & Tasting (Residents)
Starting at 4pm, a guide will take a maximum of 5 couples at a time on a winery tour, allowing for space between each couple. Tastings will be done at your leisure afterwards, with tasting notes for you to take home.
Cellar Door Shop
Our shop is open 11am – 4pm daily. In line with government guidance, visitors to our shop must wear a face covering. Wine samples will not be available.
