WE had an overnight stay with breakfast and evening meal plus the short wine trip. Excellent in every way. The room was lovely with a view out onto the vineyards and seating outside our doors onto our own private area. The bedroom was spacious and comfortably furnished as was the bathroom. We were fortunate to have lovely sunshine which made the view even moire spectacular. Both meals breakfast and our evening meal were of the best quality and the staff friendly and helpful. We were able to walk in and around the vines and there were lots of signage information about the vines and the way they are pruned etc.All together a very lovely stay and if you want some rest and relaxation its a the place place to stay. There are also many lovely places to visit nearby .’‘We have just returned after a weekend staying in the vineyard rooms for 2 nights (my husband & I and two friends) including the wine tour & tasting. The tour is informative and interesting. We dined in the restaurant on both nights which we hadn't planned to do but after our dinner on the Friday night we saw no reason not to dine in the restaurant again on Saturday evening (unusual for us as we like to explore the local area) but the service was fantastic, the food absolutely delicious, as were the wines. We can't recommend it more...
We stayed for the weekend and we loved it! What a perfect place to get away from London. It is remote and quiet. The accommodation is literally in the vineyard. There is a restaurant which offers great, fresh, locally produced food, it is very tasty! We, of course, tasted the ? and we loved it. Maybe we were a little tipsy by the end of the weekend ?. I highly recommend.
Took my other half here in February for his birthday. We stayed in one of the lodges, which was so peaceful, lovely room and bathroom. We did the wine tour too, which was great! Super restaurant too, enjoyed a delicious meal. Could not fault a thing, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return! Thank you to all the helpful and friendly staff for making our stay a most enjoyable and relaxing one. ?
Lunch and tour - tour was fine and the tastings agreeable. Lunch however was a bit of a curates egg. The mackerel starter was delicious. The best mackerel dish I’ve tasted. However the fish and chips was well below par. The rectangular piece of fish was supermarket quality at best, undercooked and bland. At £18.50 it was inexcusable. The mushroom pancake looked good but was low on flavour and almost cold. The pancake was most certainly not freshly made as it was quite hard in places. Sadly we will not be returning. Very disappointing I’m sad to say.
