Uncovering the stories of our vines starting at the Cellar Door, our wine tasting tour guides will take you to the edge of the vines, inspiring and informing you as they explain our growing process. Then wander to the Winery to uncover the wine making process, from grape to bottle. Breathe in, taste and delight in the wines for yourself as you try four of our finest wine samples during the tour. After the guide has finished, either go straight through to our brasserie for lunch or follow our vineyard walk, taking in different points of interest along the way. On arrival at our lodge, we had a coffee and noted the absolute silence and tranquility of our surroundings- it was such a peaceful setting. We walked up to the winery for our tour, ably delivered by Bart followed by a very convivial tasting led by Gill - it was a very sociable session - there were only six of us! Following that, we adjourned to the bar with fellow tasters and when joined by our other fellow tasters, we continued to the restaurant to eat delicious food together and chat away the evening. Thank you to everyone - we had a lovely tie and would highly recommend this fantastic experience! The accommodation was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and cosy! We felt as though we had been away for much longer! The staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble
We stayed for the weekend and we loved it! What a perfect place to get away from London. It is remote and quiet. The accommodation is literally in the vineyard. There is a restaurant which offers great, fresh, locally produced food, it is very tasty! We, of course, tasted the ? and we loved it. Maybe we were a little tipsy by the end of the weekend ?. I highly recommend.
Took my other half here in February for his birthday. We stayed in one of the lodges, which was so peaceful, lovely room and bathroom. We did the wine tour too, which was great! Super restaurant too, enjoyed a delicious meal. Could not fault a thing, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return! Thank you to all the helpful and friendly staff for making our stay a most enjoyable and relaxing one. ?
Lunch and tour - tour was fine and the tastings agreeable. Lunch however was a bit of a curates egg. The mackerel starter was delicious. The best mackerel dish I’ve tasted. However the fish and chips was well below par. The rectangular piece of fish was supermarket quality at best, undercooked and bland. At £18.50 it was inexcusable. The mushroom pancake looked good but was low on flavour and almost cold. The pancake was most certainly not freshly made as it was quite hard in places. Sadly we will not be returning. Very disappointing I’m sad to say.
